before it becomes all blistering and oven-like around here, i want to take advantage of the splendor of the desert and spend some time enjoying the scenery of the trail.

i am most definitely going to find an excuse to make this. a sunday afternoon is a good enough reason, right? right.
you’ve done it again, design*sponge. i need to do this. love the clean contrast,
as mentioned, we spent a lot of time outdoors last week. we hiked almost every day and saw all kinds of scenery. it was pretty great.
desert landscape, water, forest. we walked through it all. and, we were also able to enjoy some cloudy and borderline rainy weather which made for some amazing pictures. the contrast between gray/blue sky and red rocks was pretty staggering.

well, we are back. ben and i [and baby girl, of course] just wrapped up our week away in sedona. it was marvelous. cooler weather. lots of outdoor time. hiking. swimming. reading. relaxing. wandering. sight-seeing. game-playing. movie-watching. and plenty of eating. and yes, we even made s’mores. just what the doctor ordered. we returned home feeling refreshed with a hint of sadness that vacation was over.
we got some great snaps during our week away that i am excited to share. plus, it is fun to kind of relive the week through a pictorial tour. i must warn you – there are a lot of pictures. AND, even more to come tomorrow.
